Job Summary
Perform light mechanical maintenance on commercial trucks, RVs, and trailers, including lube and oil changes, alignments, front-end suspension, brakes, and air systems. Diagnose issues from customer service calls and execute service tickets to submit to management. Conduct DOT annual inspections and perform on-site repairs or replacements as needed. Clean and maintain service equipment while reporting safety issues immediately to management. Work extended periods involving manual tasks such as lifting tires and wheels. Maintain a professional appearance and comply with all OSHA regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Commercial experience including brakes, oil changes, front end work, all wheel position alignments
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Have your own tools
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Commitment to follow all safety procedures and comply with OSHA regulations and safety requirements
- Must be a self-starter and willing to take initiative, able and willing to work without direct supervision, and be willing to attend appropriate training sessions
- Strong work ethic; independently motivated to produce results with limited influence from others
- Hard worker, someone who works diligently to get tasks done and demonstrates personal characteristics, such as responsibility, dependability, conscientiousness, communication, and teamwork
- Display a commitment to learning new technologies within the rapidly changing industry
- Ability to review, analyze, and interpret information, identify problems, and make decisions
- Ability to read, understand, and follow procedures and guidelines
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- DOT Inspector Certification
- ASE Certification in brakes and suspension
