Job Summary
Senior-level commercial credit officer responsible for reviewing and deciding on new originations, renewals, amendments, and modifications; provides independent credit assessments aligned with underwriting standards and risk appetite; promotes analytical rigor across underwriting and portfolio management; collaborates with line-of-business partners to meet portfolio objectives; ensures timely, prudent credit delivery; monitors portfolio trends and supports early risk detection; leads on credit decisions, risk management approaches, and process improvements; ensures adherence to credit policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Significant experience in Wholesale Credit, Portfolio Management, or Commercial Lending in a large, complex bank environment
- Experience in structuring and underwriting syndicated loans and collaborating across multiple commercial banking product groups
- Strong administrative, communication/interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and act independently in a multi-tasked, fast-paced environment
- Understanding of regulatory requirements, commercial loan structures, credit policies, and risk governance frameworks
