Commercial Credit Analyst

Job Summary
Analyze business and personal financial statements, evaluate cash flow, leverage, and liquidity, and prepare comprehensive credit recommendations. Conduct global cash-flow and guarantor analysis while assessing collateral, loan structure, and key credit risks. Develop covenants and loan conditions, then prepare credit presentations and approval packages for the lending team. Perform annual and periodic credit reviews to monitor financial performance, covenant compliance, and emerging deterioration. Support criticized loan reporting, examinations, and audits to maintain portfolio quality. Apply commercial credit policy and underwriting standards to support sound lending decisions and Nutmeg's business banking objectives.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field
- A minimum of five years of prior experience in commercial credit, public accounting, financial statement preparation/analysis or other financial analysis
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
- Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision
- Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions
- Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines and requirements for quality and timeliness
- Must be capable of exercising high levels of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Corelation Keystone, Jack Henry Symitar, SageWorks (Abrigo) or nCino
- Experience with commercial real estate underwriting
