Commercial Credit Analyst

Job Summary
Commercial Credit Analyst role responsible for analyzing credit and financial reports to determine risk involved in loaning money or extending credit. Major duties include performing initial and ongoing credit analysis, preparing documentation for credit analysis and risk ratings, tracking financial documents (financial statements, tax returns, credit reports, risk analyses, annual review and loan-approval materials), preparing narratives on financial trends for loan committees, supporting Credit Union members and staff on credit policies, maintaining reporting on members' credit obligations, assisting with special assignments, and providing support for commercial document processing; requires 1–3 years of related experience, a four-year degree or equivalent, strong Excel/Word skills, attention to detail, independence, and strong communication and relationship-building abilities. Standard hours are 8 a.m.–5 p.m. with potential travel for training; eligible for benefits including insurance, PTO, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, and more.
Required Qualifications
- One to three years of commercial credit analysis or related experience
- Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of financial spreads and tax returns a plus
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel)
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Must be extremely detail oriented
- Excellent communication skills with both internal and external personnel
- Ability to foster sound relationships with outside entities
- A significant level of trust and diplomacy, in addition to courtesy and tact
Desired Qualifications
