Job Summary
Structure, draft, and review SaaS agreements and Data Protection Agreements with clients and contracts with vendors and service providers. Work closely with internal business teams to identify, investigate, and manage legal risk across product, marketing, and business initiatives. Engage in customer-facing communication regarding contracts and help formulate legal policy and processes as the organization matures. Remain knowledgeable on relevant industry and privacy laws and regulations while providing pragmatic recommendations under tight deadlines. This role requires a Juris Doctor degree and four years of commercial legal experience, with a preference for a Central Time schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree
- qualified to practice law in-house in New York or the state where you live
- At least four (4) years of commercial legal experience
- Experience in drafting and negotiating SaaS and other technology agreements
- Able to provide legally sound, pragmatic and practical recommendations under tight deadlines
- A strong 'business-friendly' style that comes with an understanding that the Legal team's primary purpose is to support the growth and success of the business
- Empathetic, enthusiastic, and energetic with a solutions-oriented mindset
- Location is flexible, however, the candidate will preferably work based on a Central Time schedule (i.e., starting work day at 10am ET)
