Job Summary
Commercial Contracts Associate at Impulse Space, on-site in Redondo Beach, CA. Responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating customer-facing commercial agreements including launch services and mission services; own the first-cut review and markup process for inbound/outbound contracts, flag key risks for senior attorney review; maintain and improve contract templates, standard positions, and playbooks to support faster, more consistent deal execution; partner with Business Development and Finance to support deal structuring, customer negotiations, and contract execution; track contract milestones, obligations, and renewals with Legal Operations; assist senior legal team on more complex or high-stakes transactions; help develop scalable legal processes as the company’s commercial business grows.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- 5+ years of commercial contracts experience, in a law firm and/or in-house
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- 5+ years of commercial contracts experience, in a law firm and/or in-house
- Familiarity with launch services, satellite, or space industry contracting
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (preferred)
- Experience building or improving contract operations processes (templates, tracking, intake workflows) (preferred)
- Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (preferred)
Additional Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Person or otherwise eligible to obtain export license (ITAR/EAR)
