Job Summary

Perform first-pass reviews of customer contracts, purchase orders, and master service agreements to identify contractual risks and deviations from company standards. Partner with Sales teams to support negotiations, develop commercially acceptable alternatives, and coordinate reviews with Legal, Risk Management, Trade Compliance, and Finance stakeholders. Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, from initial review through execution, renewal, and close-out, while maintaining records and monitoring key milestones. Serve as the primary liaison between Sales and support functions to facilitate timely contract resolution and order execution. Provide guidance and training to Sales teams on contract fundamentals and internal commercial processes. Assist in preparing Delegation of Authority approval packages and supporting documentation for commercial exceptions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Legal Studies, Contract Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in contract management, commercial operations, legal operations, sales operations, procurement, risk management, or a related field
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, purchase orders, and customer terms and conditions
  • Strong understanding of commercial contract structures, risk allocation, and negotiation principles
  • Ability to identify and assess contractual and commercial risks
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret contract language and communicate risks in practical business terms
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and contract management systems

Desired Qualifications

  • Professional certifications in contract management, commercial management, or risk management
  • Familiarity with industrial, manufacturing, engineering, energy, or capital equipment industries
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, and workflow management platforms
