Job Summary
Manage onsite teams and subcontractors to ensure quality, timely delivery, and adherence to Hubbell's safety policies across commercial projects ranging from $500,000 to $15 million. Develop and maintain two-week construction schedules, review subcontractor requisitions, and oversee the full drawing/submittal process within project management software. Direct daily operations including layout verification, punch list efforts, and preconstruction plan reviews while documenting daily reports, RFIs, and inspections. Supervise assistant site managers and trainees, ensuring familiarity with contract documents and AIA standards. Requires five years of superintendent experience, a bachelor's degree in construction management, proficiency in Microsoft Project, and OSHA certification. Valid driver's license, bondable status, and ability to work in extreme temperatures are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum five years of project superintendent experience on projects ranging from $500,000 to $15 million, including restaurant, retail, bank, health care, multifamily, and remodel projects
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction engineering or equivalent experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Project scheduling software
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial building construction activities
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, federal, state, municipal and project-specific safety regulations
- Valid driver's license
- Bondable
- Proof of liability insurance
- Ability to lift 50 pounds from floor/ground to window height frequently
- Constant ability to walk, kneel, bend, crouch, climb, crawl, etc., to reach items in need of repair
- Tolerance of all extremes of hot and cold weather (below 0 and above 100 degrees) frequently
