Job Summary
Superintendent directs the on-site workflow to align with the project schedule and HITT safety and quality standards, serving as the primary site leader and liaison among the project team, clients, and subcontractors. Responsibilities include administering the safety program, maintaining HITT quality standards, managing daily activity logs and punch lists, coordinating with the project manager on scheduling and installation sequencing, organizing site resources and long-lead items, and fostering relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders. The role requires strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities, plus experience with construction software (e.g., ProCore, BlueBeam, Adobe, Microsoft Office) and OSHA 30 certification. A four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is preferred, with 5+ years of commercial construction experience; in lieu of degree, equivalent work experience is acceptable. Physical requirements include the ability to walk/stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. The position is based in Raleigh, NC, with compensation details noted for Virginia SB 215 and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- A four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor
- Mastery of building processes and best practices
- Ability to organize necessary resources, including people, tools and time to meet tight deadlines
- ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, OSHA 30 Certification preferred
- Must demonstrate strong communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs
