Commercial Construction Senior Project Manager

Job Summary

Manage all phases of Federal, SCIF, and commercial tenant improvement projects from preconstruction through final closeout, overseeing financial performance, schedules, and subcontractor management. Partner with superintendents to develop execution plans, lead procurement and negotiations, and coordinate complex architectural, MEP, and security systems for secure facilities. Maintain strict compliance with security protocols, manage change orders and RFIs, and proactively identify risks impacting cost or schedule. Lead regular stakeholder meetings, mentor junior team members, and ensure successful project closeout including punch lists and commissioning. This role supports HITT Contracting's mission to build trust in secure environments across the Seattle market.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of commercial construction project management experience
  • Prior SCIF and/or Federal construction experience required
  • Strong experience with commercial interiors and tenant improvement projects
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from preconstruction and procurement through construction and closeout
  • Working knowledge of the requirements and coordination associated with secure construction environments
  • Strong financial management skills with experience managing project budgets, forecasting, change orders, and cost reporting
  • Thorough understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, RFIs, submittals, and project controls
  • Ability to manage accelerated schedules and multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Strong subcontractor management and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with construction management technology such as Procore, Bluebeam, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred, or equivalent construction experience
  • Ability to meet project-specific Federal and secure-site access requirements as applicable

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating sophisticated MEP, security, low-voltage, technology, and specialty systems preferred
