Job Summary
Oversee all field operations by coordinating, directing, and supervising quality of work and direct labor while managing materials, equipment, and multiple concurrent projects. Ensure safety, schedule, quality control, and cost controls are met by resolving site issues beyond project manager authority and acting as the primary point of contact between vendors, owners, and general contractors. Direct foremen and crews according to owner, GC, and architect requirements, mentoring staff through the project lifecycle to maintain zero punch lists via consistent on-site communication. Review plans, drawings, and specifications daily to anticipate problems and communicate detailed information across all team members, including leadership, subcontractors, and architects.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a construction superintendent or in a similar position in construction management
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to read, understand and implement project plans and documents
- Ability to multitask and exercise independent judgment related to the daily administration of projects
- Proven communication skills; both written and verbal
- Aptitude to anticipate problems and identify solutions
- Ability to communicate highly detailed information between project managers, foreman, field crew, subcontractors, and architects/engineers
- Able to work in a team environment and foster positive and professional relationships
- Highly organized and disciplined
- Knowledge of construction related equipment and proper use
- Ability to travel within 180 miles radius, occasionally travel will be greater than 180 miles from Sioux Falls
