Commercial Construction Project Executive

Job Summary

Manage small and large scale projects from discovery through implementation, ensuring adherence to safety standards and HITT policies. Negotiate contract terms with clients, monitor project progress via updated schedules, and resolve scope problems with subcontractors. Lead preconstruction and RFP efforts, acquire new work, and maintain relationships within the subcontractor community. Coordinate field personnel assignments, identify justified time extensions, and ensure timely closeout processes. Coach assistant-level operations team members and facilitate decision-making while executing multiple projects simultaneously.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial construction
  • experience with a commercial general contractor
  • Prior healthcare construction project experience
  • Previous experience in a project management role
  • ability to execute multiple projects and/or simultaneously
  • Mastery of reading construction drawings
  • Ability to organize necessary resources, including people, tools and time to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results
  • Knowledge of current market conditions including pricing conventions and trends
  • Must demonstrate a strong ability to: Carry oneself as a leader and knowledge holder of the project while facilitating the decision-making process
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and passion for construction and our industry
  • Communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally, with a strong ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Take initiative and seek responsibility

  • Recognize quality and implement contractual and HITT quality standards

Desired Qualifications

  • A four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business
  • In lieu of a degree, additional work experience
