Job Summary
Review RFPs, drawings, and specifications for ground-up commercial projects to develop and maintain bid calendars across multiple concurrent pursuits. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for concrete, tilt-wall, structural, and architectural scopes while applying accurate labor, material, and equipment pricing. Coordinate site walks, pre-bid meetings, and trade partner relationships to identify scope gaps, constructability risks, and cost drivers early in the process. Prepare complete proposals, internal estimate summaries, and competitive bids, then lead preconstruction turnover meetings and support buyout strategies. Submit accurate estimates to leadership and Project Management, maintaining historical data archives and collaborating on value engineering.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
- Proven exposure to concrete, tilt-wall, shell, and full building scopes
- Experience with ground-up commercial projects
- Proficiency with estimating software and Procore
- Organized, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Solid understanding of commercial concrete and tilt-wall construction
- Clear communication and collaboration
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
