Job Summary
Prepare complete contract proposal estimates by calculating takeoffs of scope of work and reviewing proposal specifications and drawings. Lead and coordinate total estimating efforts for assigned bids, including concrete, structures, earthwork, and piling. Maintain files of working documents and interact with owners, architects, and subcontractors to provide cost data and feasibility analysis. Follow awarded contracts to estimate change orders, credits, and extra work items while soliciting subcontractors and suppliers. Develop and maintain the project lead log and subcontractor database for the Indiana Office. Coordinate bid forms, request bid bonds, and delivery of bid documents with Corporate. Track awarded contracts and ensure all data backs up estimate figures.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Engineering
- 4-7 years of experience in estimating
- 4-7 years of experience in cost control
- 4-7 years of experience in engineering
- 4-7 years of experience in the Construction environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to manage personnel
- Ability to manage multiple projects and personnel simultaneously
- Great communication skills
