Job Summary
Commercial Construction Estimator for multifamily and commercial projects. Responsibilities include developing precise estimates and competitive bids, performing self-led take-offs, reviewing plans/specifications, assessing sites for renovations/modifications, designing client-specific solutions, and operating estimating software to produce accurate bids. Requires strong math skills, code and safety knowledge, proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel), excellent reading/comprehension of plans/specs, clear written and verbal communication, and 2–5 years of construction experience with multi-level structures. Based in Asheville, NC with the opportunity to work for a premier general contractor with a robust benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction bidding/estimating
- Experience with multifamily or commercial projects >$20M is preferred
- Proficient in mathematics (arithmetic, algebra, geometry)
- Strong knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel)
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
- Experience with take-offs and bid data gathering
