Job Summary
Prepare accurate estimates and value engineering proposals for all design stages, from conceptual through final construction documents. Manage the full preconstruction lifecycle, including subcontractor solicitation, bid evaluation, and award coordination. Lead project teams to resolve technical matters with owners, architects, and engineers while ensuring estimates meet detail, schedule, and quality standards. Mentor junior estimators and organize departmental workflows to satisfy contractual requirements. Demonstrate exceptional presentation skills during RFPs and interviews. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management with three to five years of commercial construction experience. In-person attendance at the assigned location is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent field
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of Construction Management/General Contractor experience
- Verifiable work references demonstrating exceptional accomplishments, leadership and communication skill
- Solid computer skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
- Proficient in use of estimating software
- Able to read drawings and specifications
- Strong understanding of commercial construction industry practices and standards
- Knowledge of construction costs, project budgeting, vendor selection, client proposals and owner/architect/general contractor industry expertise
- Strong customer service orientation
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking and planning skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Successful completion of post-offer background & drug screens
- In-person, predictable attendance at assigned location
