Job Summary
Lead daily field operations for large-scale commercial foundation and structural concrete projects in the Pontiac, Michigan area, supervising foremen, laborers, and subcontractors. Oversee commercial foundations, structural concrete, slabs, walls, and formwork while coordinating manpower, equipment, and deliveries to maximize productivity. Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor field production, and resolve construction challenges to keep projects on time and within budget. Ensure all concrete work meets specifications and enforce MIOSHA safety requirements through daily site meetings and crew compliance. Read blueprints, interpret documentation, and communicate progress to project managers, engineers, and owners. Manage multiple active commercial projects with a strong focus on safety, quality, and schedule performance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of commercial concrete construction experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Superintendent or senior field leader
- Commercial construction experience
- Strong knowledge of commercial foundations and structural concrete construction
- Proven experience with formwork, reinforcing steel/rebar, concrete placement, slabs, walls, footings, and elevated concrete
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate multiple crews and subcontractors on active commercial projects
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, field coordination, and project sequencing
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to effectively manage field personnel
- Strong commitment to jobsite safety, quality, productivity, and schedule performance
- Working knowledge of applicable Michigan construction safety requirements, including MIOSHA regulations
