Job Summary
Lead the overall project setup, buyout, and contract execution while managing material and equipment procurement. Track daily progress, sequence schedules, and coordinate with the GC and Operations manager to secure manpower. Review job cost spreads, issue change orders, and approve invoices to maintain fiscal responsibility. Monitor project safety compliance, mentor Project Engineers, and proactively adjust budgets to maximize profits. Requires 3+ years of construction experience, a Bachelor's degree, and the ability to walk the job site.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineer recommended
- Strong knowledge of construction principles/practices required
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals
- Project setup, budget planning, buyout, and cost reporting experience is a must
- Good understanding of critical path scheduling
- Experience leading successful project teams, including the development of employees and maintaining relationships with external entities
- Energetic and highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency
- Highly entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with the ability to work equally well on own as well as in a team environment
- Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi-floor scaffolding
