Job Summary
Operate areas within the elevator and outdoor slabs to assure compliance with established procedures relative to quality, productivity, and safety. Assist with setup and changeover of cleaning line equipment, evaluate material defects versus equipment malfunctions, and make operational adjustments to maintain product quality. Enter production order information into the SCADA system, monitor operations, load and unload grain commodities by rail and truck, and weigh grain using the SCADA system. Clean and maintain production equipment, inspect facilities daily, and report equipment issues or process improvement opportunities to the CCO Lead. Work in a manufacturing environment with physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods, with availability for overtime and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with the ability to meet company driving standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
- Mechanical and mathematical aptitude
- Ability to operate and monitor SCADA systems or the ability to learn
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to prioritize work, multitask, and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized production environment
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification upon hire
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods, including bending, reaching, climbing, and other physical activities throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and other scheduled hours as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using SCADA systems in a manufacturing or processing environment
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (AGC ERP) or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Knowledge of grain handling, commodity processing, or food manufacturing operations
- Knowledge of lot numbering systems
