Job Summary
Area Manager oversees day-to-day field operations for commercial cleaning accounts, ensuring service quality and adherence to client contracts and MasterCorp standards. Responsibilities include staffing and training staff, coaching associates, supervising direct reports, scheduling work, coordinating job assignments, maintaining records and reports, managing costs (labor and supplies), visiting client sites to verify performance, ensuring safety compliance, and handling inquiries and requests. Requires knowledge of cleaning methods, safety regulations, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; travel about 25% monthly across the market.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in field related to position or equivalent combination of work experience and education
- Two (2) years of progressive management responsibility in commercial cleaning operations
- Proven experience in methods used in the cleaning of commercial properties
- Demonstrated ability to train and supervise large numbers of associates
- Knowledge of occupational hazards, safety rules and regulations
- Proven ability to make appropriate decisions quickly and effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Email, Word, Excel
- Average of 25% travel on a monthly basis throughout market
