Job Summary
Maintain and repair central plant equipment, including chillers 100 tons and larger, motors, pumps, valves, controls, cooling towers, and auxiliary systems. Perform daily and monthly preventative maintenance, schedule site-wide maintenance, and conduct end-to-end testing, programming, start-ups, and commissioning. Troubleshoot and repair on-site equipment while supporting the office with repairs from delivery to completion. Manage emergency service calls through normal on-call rotation and ensure compliance with safety policies. Work directly with the Chiller Field Supervisor on customer opportunities and issues.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of work experience at the journeyman level and technical schooling
- Commercial/Industrial air conditioning experience
- Knowledge of Chiller, HVAC, and Central Plants
- HVAC large tonnage field knowledge
- Must be available for emergency service calls on call through normal rotation
- EPA certified
- Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Overhaul of centrifugal chillers
- Familiar with all aspects of rigging
- Effective oral and written communication skills
