Job Summary
Complete assigned training, pass all exams, and finish reading assignments to gain an overview of the Commercial Banking Development role. Observe experienced staff to learn methods, procedures, and standards while studying line and staff functions, operations, management viewpoints, and company policies. Meet with department managers and staff throughout the curriculum to acquire knowledge of departmental duties. Work with the Manager, Employee Engagement and Talent Development to set first-year goals and objectives. Monitor performance progress with management and key trainers. Maintain regular, predictable attendance and comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and compliance training. Travel overnight to various locations for meetings, projects, and seminars as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Prior banking experience preferred
- Strong written, verbal, analytical and presentation skills
- Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of staff throughout the company
- Good PC skills--proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel essential
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Ability to travel to all locations as well as ability to travel overnight, as needed for meetings, projects, seminars, etc
- Must understand all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and comply with the requirements
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of the position
