Job Summary
Commercial Banker responsible for administering and supporting commercial banking activities, developing and maintaining a portfolio of commercial loan accounts (secured and unsecured) that meet lending requirements and maximize profitability with minimum risk. Develop new loan relationships through referrals and direct sales, make loan/line decisions within lending limits, manage portfolios in accordance with policy, provide financial guidance to customers, cross-sell bank products to deepen banking relationships, manage past-due/collections activities as needed, collect and analyze customer financials to structure credit, and stay compliant with applicable laws and regulations. Also engages in community activities to enhance the bank's visibility and opportunities, and directs administrative staff while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and bank policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent/ Associate or Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar
- 1-3 years of financial industry experience / 2-5 years Commercial Banking experience
- PC, phone system, general office equipment
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Solid judgment and decision-making skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, specifically, the ability to effectively write a variety of correspondence and reports and to explain complex policies and procedures
