Job Summary
The Commercial Banker role focuses on administering and supporting commercial banking activities to achieve department goals, developing and maintaining a portfolio of secured and unsecured commercial loans, and growing lending relationships through referrals and outreach. Responsibilities include making loan decisions within lending limits or recommending actions to the Senior Lending Officer, managing portfolios and compliance with lending policies, providing financial guidance to clients, cross-selling bank products, handling past-due items and collections when necessary, analyzing customer financials to inform credit structures, and contributing to community and bank-wide initiatives. The position also requires supervising administrative staff, staying current with regulations and policies, and upholding the bank’s commitment to equal employment opportunities and non-discrimination.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent/ Associate or Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar
- 1-3 years of financial industry experience / 2-5 years Commercial Banking experience
- PC, phone system, general office equipment
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Solid judgment and decision-making skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal Skills
