Job Summary
Commercial Banker in Mid-Corporate Banking focusing on new client acquisition and maintaining a portfolio of relationships; interfaces with the Mid-Cap Investment Banking Team and financial sponsors; aims to grow profitable relationships within the Mid-Corporate Banking target market; engage with CEOs and CFOs; collaborate with internal partners; pursue opportunities for innovation and automation; build relationships and provide strategic financial advice.
Required Qualifications
- Five plus years of lending or credit support related experience with a focus on business relationships
- Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services
- Methodical approach to market activities and prospecting, demonstrate proven client relationship skills, and can engage with CEOs and CFOs
- Ability to collaborate with internal partners and resources
- Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with senior business and control partners
- Deep local connections and market knowledge
- Corporate finance expertise and strong transaction execution skills
- FINRA Series 79, 63 and Securities Industry Essentials licenses required or must obtain within 180 days of hire
- Bachelor’s degree and formal credit training
- Sales management, business development skills, proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships
- Experience with Financial Sponsors, Direct Lending and Capital Markets Solutions
- Strong creative solution, problem solving abilities, flexible to changing business priorities and ability to multitask
- Excellent business judgment, strategic thinking, self-directed, proactive and creative
