Job Summary
Commercial Banker in Mid-Corporate Banking at VP level focused on new client acquisition and portfolio development for mid-market companies ($100M-$2B revenue). Acts as primary interface with the Mid-Cap Investment Banking Team and the financial sponsors team, cultivating relationships to deliver comprehensive solutions, drive profitable growth, and align with internal partners. Emphasizes market prospecting, client relationship management with CEOs/CFOs, and deep local market knowledge; requires regulatory licensing (FINRA 79/63/SIE) or to obtain within 180 days, a Bachelor's degree, and formal credit training. Also highlights collaboration, adaptability to changing priorities, and adherence to FDIC Section 19 requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Five plus years of lending or credit support related experience with a focus on business relationships
- Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services
- Methodical approach to market activities and prospecting, demonstrate proven client relationship skills, and can engage with CEOs and CFOs
- Ability to collaborate with internal partners and resources
- Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with senior business and control partners
- Deep local connections and market knowledge
- Corporate finance expertise and strong transaction execution skills
- FINRA Series 79, 63 and Securities Industry Essentials licenses required or must obtain within 180 days of hire
- Bachelor’s degree and formal credit training
- Sales management, business development skills, proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships
- Experience with Financial Sponsors, Direct Lending and Capital Markets Solutions.
