Job Summary
Acquires and grows government and commercial client relationships in a nationwide government-focused book of business. Partners with product specialists in Treasury, Public Finance, Securities Trading, and Asset Management to deliver a full suite of banking services to cities, counties, school districts, and other government entities. Drives client acquisition and retention, stays ahead of industry trends, and seeks opportunities for innovation and automation to improve efficiency. Requires 5+ years of lending or credit support with a proven sales track record, exceptional communications, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and senior partners. Preferred candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and formal credit training; experience in sales management and business development is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years direct lending or credit support experience with a focus on business relationships
- Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services
- Ability to collaborate with internal partners and resources
- Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage priorities and deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
- Bachelor’s degree and formal credit training preferred
- Sales management, business development skills, proficiency in building and maintaining client relationships
- Strong creative solution and problem solving abilities
- Excellent business judgment and strategic thinking
