Job Summary
Commercial Banker in Emerging Middle Market Banking covering Allentown and Western Montgomery County is the focal point for client acquisition and ongoing relationships. You will work independently and with internal partners to introduce comprehensive solutions to clients, aiming to grow and retain profitable relationships within the Emerging Middle Market target space (companies with $20M–$100M revenue). Responsibilities include championing customer-centric innovation, staying current with industry trends to identify opportunities, and driving efficiency through automation and new technologies. The role requires building credibility with senior executives (CEOs/CFOs), managing multiple relationships, meeting or exceeding sales goals, and leveraging local market knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Five plus years lending or credit support related experience with a focus on business relationships
- Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services
- Methodical approach to market activities and prospecting, demonstrate proven client relationship skills, and can engage with CEOs and CFOs
- Ability to collaborate with internal partners and resources
- Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with senior business and control partners
- Deep local connections and market knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree and formal credit training preferred
- Sales management, business development skills, proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships
- Strong creative solution, problem solving abilities, flexible to changing business priorities and ability to multitask
- Excellent business judgment, strategic thinking, self-directed, proactive and creative
