Job Summary
Associate in the Syndicated Finance Group focusing on complex financial analyses and deal support. Responsibilities include preparing and driving detailed financial modeling and financial statement analysis; determining cash flow and debt capacity across various business models; driving the preparation of capital markets, credit approval packages, and marketing materials; reviewing work prepared by analysts; and engaging with clients and investors. Requires strong quantitative/analytical skills, knowledge of commercial banking and debt capital markets, ability to manage transactions with minimal supervision, and polished presentation abilities; Bachelor’s degree and securities licenses (7/79 and 63) or ability to obtain within 180 days; role involves interaction with senior bankers and client management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in investment banking or commercial banking (Banker or Underwriting role)
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills; ability to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative client solutions
- Knowledge of Commercial Banking, credit, and debt capital markets products
- Strong credit acumen
- Ability to independently manage less complex transactions
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Well organized; able to efficiently manage projects with minimal supervision
- Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task, and meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Excellent presentation skills; comfortable presenting to client senior management, investors, and senior firm members
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Security licenses 7 or 79, and 63 required (or must be obtained within 180 days of start date). Any securities licenses actively held, but not required for the position, will not be carried by JPMorgan Securities LLC.
