Job Summary
Inspect and evaluate commercial properties, including office, retail, and multi-family units, while analyzing market trends, income data, and sales information to determine accurate valuations per Wisconsin laws. Maintain detailed property records, meet with owners to explain assessment values, and prepare reports to defend values during Board of Review appeals. Utilize GIS and assessment software to manage data, ensuring compliance with state standards and current industry practices. This in-person role supports fair property assessments throughout Wisconsin for a leading government SaaS provider.
Required Qualifications
- Wisconsin Assessor 2 & 3 Certification (or ability to obtain certification)
- Experience in commercial appraisal, assessment, real estate, finance, or related field
- Knowledge of Wisconsin assessment laws and practices
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and assessment software
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associates degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Economics, Geography, Construction Management, or a related field
