Commercial Alarm System Inspector

Job Summary
Conduct scheduled inspections, surveys, and installations for fire alarm, burglar alarm, and life safety equipment in commercial facilities. Schedule assigned work, complete jobs and paperwork correctly and in a timely manner, and perform other duties as assigned. Maintain a reliable vehicle with appropriate liability insurance to travel across the assigned route. Requires a valid driver's license, mechanical/technological/electrical aptitude, and familiarity with mapping apps. One-year related experience preferred; current certification or ability to obtain licensing required. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to maintain a reliable vehicle and appropriate liability vehicle insurance
- Ability to lift and move 50 or more pounds
- Ability to sit and drive vehicle
- Ability to climb, bend, stoop, and reach freely
- Vision correctable to 20/20
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service
Desired Qualifications
- Smart-phone familiarity and technologically savvy
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Experience with mapping and routing apps such as MapPoint or Google Maps
- Have mechanical/technological/electrical aptitude
- Ability to interpret written instructions and documents
- Ability to learn through telephone training
- One-year related alarm or electronic security experience
- Current certification or ability to obtain licensing, if required
- High school diploma or equivalent
