Job Summary
Perform scheduled inspections, tests, and surveys of electronic security systems at commercial and banking facilities within a 100-mile radius of New Haven. Complete related project work and service calls in your assigned territory while maintaining accurate records and communicating findings to clients and internal teams. Serve as the lead technician in the area, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior inspectors. Represent Cennox professionally in all client-facing environments while managing a daily field schedule with minimal supervision. Requires a State of Ohio Fire Alarm License, valid driver's license, and ability to lift 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- State of Ohio Fire Alarm License
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in electronic security, fire alarm systems, or a closely related field
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and a reliable, insured personal vehicle
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage a daily field schedule, and operate with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks that include climbing, bending, and working in varying weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- NICET certification (Fire Alarm Systems) and/or working knowledge of NFPA codes and standards
- Experience in commercial alarm inspection, installation, or service across any segment of the electronic security industry — including access control, CCTV, or intrusion detection
- Prior experience in a lead technician or field mentor capacity
- Comfort working from a tablet or Android device for scheduling and reporting
