Commercial Aircraft Seating Inspector

Job Summary
Experienced aerospace quality professional responsible for dimensional and visual inspection of machined components and assemblies, including final/receiving inspection and verification of First Article Inspection (FAI) per AS9102. Requires hands-on use of hand measurement tools, knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5), blueprint interpretation, and familiarity with CMM inspection (programming not required). Must travel to end-customer/supplier locations, maintain documentation accuracy, and perform related duties with strong verbal/written communication and Excel/Outlook skills. 5+ years in aerospace quality inspection; US citizenship; eligibility for background and drug screening; valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience as a quality inspector, technician, or engineer (aerospace)
- 5+ years’ experience in an aerospace manufacturing facility
- 5+ years’ experience in inspection duties, FAI’s (AS9102), GD&T, and blueprint interpretation
- Experience with hand measurement tools
- Knowledge of CMM inspection process (CMM programming not required)
- Knowledge and experience in GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
- Knowledge and experience with blueprint interpretation
- Perform final inspection and receiving inspection (dimensional, visual inspection, surface finish, assembly)
- MS Outlook and Excel experience
- Mechanical inspection experience preferred
- IPC, J-STD, and Mil-Spec inspection experience preferred (IPC-600/IPC-610)
- Strong verbal, written, and communication skills; fluent English
- Pass pre-hire background check including DMV and credit screening; pass pre-hire drug screening
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance; US Citizenship required
- Ability to work as part of a team; strong analytical and judgment skills
- Willingness to travel to supplier locations
- Experience with traveling for work and ability to drive long distances
- Ability to work under general supervision
- Attention to detail and professionalism
- Ability to pass Excel tests and basic computer skills
- Mobility to perform physical tasks and occasional lifting
- Education/experience mix may be considered
