Job Summary
Commercial/ Agricultural Loan Officer position in Bethalto, IL. Responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of commercial and agricultural loans, originating, underwriting, structuring, and closing loans; evaluating applicants' financial status and creditworthiness; maintaining strong customer relationships; ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements; duties include analyzing financial statements, conducting site visits and borrower interviews, monitoring loan performance, and collaborating with credit analysts, underwriters, and management; role involves community and industry engagement to build business development opportunities and represent the bank’s brand; requires knowledge of local markets and mortgage-supported banking practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Agribusiness, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in commercial or ag lending, credit analysis, related banking experience, or sales
- Strong understanding of financial statements, credit analysis, and lending
- Excellent communication, sales, and customer service skills
