Job Summary
Commercial Account Executive at Redpanda responsible for qualifying and closing opportunities through sales presentations, product demonstrations, and supporting technical evaluations. Target 2500 and below sized companies, engage in outbound activity using tools like Zoominfo and Sales Navigator, coordinate with virtual and executive teams to ensure successful outcomes, align Redpanda solutions to customer business needs and technical requirements, articulate the company’s vision and product positioning to secure strategic commercial commitments, build a healthy revenue pipeline with new logos, forecast quarterly, and collaborate with management, legal, and deal desks to ensure proper execution of documents and processes. Must effectively communicate with management and customers, be comfortable selling to technical and C-suite audiences, and bring a proactive, fast-moving, globally distributed perspective with a remote-first mindset.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of B2B SaaS sales experience including at least 2 years in a closing role
- Experience in open source software + SaaS business models
- Proficiency in cloud and infrastructure software
- Track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a commercial or high-velocity sales motion
- Experience generating meaningful portion of own pipeline through outbound prospecting
- Strong discovery skills and ability to connect product capabilities to business pain
- Comfortable selling to technical personas and C-suite
- High-agency, builder mindset; willingness to test, learn, and iterate
- Strong written communication skills (outbound emails, follow-ups, deal recaps)
- Strong curiosity about AI
