Job Summary
Command Center Operator for City of Virginia Beach required to monitor multiple systems in a fast-paced environment, use IT and monitoring tools, generate accurate reports, and provide information to staff. Responsibilities include real-time monitoring of systems and enforcement, monitoring garage operations via cameras, directing staff during events, overseeing call-center communications, and reporting on payments and citations. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar) is expected, along with strong communication, organizational, and customer-service skills. Must be able to work nights (4PM–2AM), weekends, and holidays, with the ability to multitask and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Knowledge of Oceanfront area and parking codes is a plus; position involves standing/walking for extended periods and responding to peak summer demand.
