Job Summary
Provide massage therapy in hospice inpatient facility per the hospice plan of care as ordered by the patient's attending physician; coordinate the massage therapy treatment plan with other therapy treatment provided by other treatment team members; maintain a calm and soothing environment during treatment; instruct patients, family and staff in the use of massage therapy; document accurate patient information in the medical record; participate in team meetings and quality improvement processes; assist in orientation of new employees; requires Massage Therapy training and Iowa licensure; BLS certification within 3 months; on-site part-time PRN role in Pella, IA.
Required Qualifications
- Massage Therapy training from an accredited institution or equivalent
- Licensure as a Massage Therapist in the State of Iowa
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required. New employees certify within three (3) months after hire date.
