Job Summary
Conduct welding, cutting, and assembly of pipes and structural steel using SMAW and GTAW techniques. Install, maintain, and repair piping systems in excavations and underground areas while bolting up and torquing flanges. Perform fabrication and installation of structural steel components, ensuring alignment and secure connections. Inspect welded joints and structural components to verify quality and safety standards. Read blueprints to determine layout and installation procedures. Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper shoring, trench safety, and personal protective equipment use. Collaborate with maintenance personnel to complete projects efficiently. Requires 5+ years of pipe welding experience in a refinery setting and an Oklahoma Steam Card. Full-time employment in Tulsa, OK.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a pipe welder in a refinery or industrial setting
- 5+ years of experience
- Strong technical skills in welding and pipe fitting
- Structural steel welding
- Bolting up and torquing
- Problem-solving abilities
- Good communication skills
- Oklahoma Steam Card
- Legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and use hands and fingers to perform assigned duties
- Positions may require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds
- Working at elevations
- Working on uneven surfaces
- Working in confined spaces
- Sufficient visual, hearing, communication, and motor skills to safely perform job responsibilities
