Job Summary
Experienced TIG Welder to join our Baytown manufacturing team. Perform precision GTAW welding on thin-wall stainless steel hose assemblies (.008"–.020" wall) and cap weld stainless braid to hose assemblies. Weld fittings, couplings, flanges, ferrules, and end connections per engineering specifications; read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions; prepare materials and components (cleaning, fit-up, alignment, assembly); ensure proper weld penetration, appearance, and dimensional accuracy while minimizing distortion; inspect welds to meet quality standards and customer specifications; use calipers, tape measures, and gauges to verify dimensions; collaborate with fabrication, quality, and engineering teams to meet production requirements; maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment; follow safety and quality-control procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment
- Demonstrated experience welding thin-wall stainless steel materials
- Experience welding materials with wall thicknesses between .008" and .020" preferred
- Strong understanding of heat control and distortion prevention techniques
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication documents
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Desired Qualifications
- Prior GTAW welding certifications
- Experience welding stainless steel braided hose assemblies
- Experience with weld inspection and quality documentation
- Familiarity with AWS and ASME welding standards
