Job Summary
Operate tractor/trailer to transport freight in compliance with FMCSA and company regulations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain required records, and ensure security of equipment and cargo. Handle loading/unloading at hubs, dock work as needed, and use in-cab technology (electronic logs). Adhere to safety rules, drive across various terrains and weather, meet 70 lb lifting requirements, and provide professional customer service. Flexibility on schedules and potential over-the-road assignments as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 21 years of age per FMCSA
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse registration
- reside within 75 miles of domiciled Service Center/work assignment
- Hazmat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements
- Able to drive tractor-trailer per FMCSA
- Stable employment history preferred
- Ability to operate forklift (7500 lb vehicle)
- Push/pull a loaded pallet jack/hand truck (min 70 lbs)
- Physical ability to lift ~70 lbs
- Able to meet FMCSA English language requirements
- Able to drive in diverse terrains and weather
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Authorized to work in the United States
