Job Summary
Operate MIG and TIG welding equipment on aluminum, steel, galvanized, and stainless-steel materials while performing quality inspections and interpreting technical drawings. Maintain inventory, update production records, and monitor gas tanks and wire supplies. Ensure a clean, safe workplace by following 5S procedures, wearing required PPE, and using precision measuring devices. Cross-train in different shop areas and communicate with team members to support continuous production with minimal waste. Perform pre-operation activities on multiple pieces of equipment and complete tasks as assigned by the Manufacturing Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Technical School Welding Certificate
- 6+ months welding experience
- Ability to work scheduled hours Monday-Friday
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to squat, bend and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand and work a 10-hour shift in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed
- Ability to read blueprints
