Job Summary
Lead a team of 9 engineers and operatives to oversee planned and reactive maintenance tasks at RAF Lakenheath, Mildenhall, and Feltwell. Manage subcontractors to ensure compliance with COM processes, KPIs, and SLAs while providing technical support to Defence Infrastructure Organisation and Head of Establishment representatives. Attend move-ins, visit properties to snag them, and liaise with US Visiting Forces clients to maintain required property standards. Conduct team briefings, handle disciplinary matters, deliver toolbox talks, and mentor apprentices. Ensure Health & Safety compliance with COSHH and maintain RAMS documentation and risk assessments. Full UK driving licence and SC level Security Clearance are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations, including COSHH
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to obtain SC level Security Clearance
- SMSTS qualification or willingness to upskill towards one
- Demonstrable experience in managing maintenance or construction contractors
- Background in void properties
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliability
- Self-motivation
- Previous experience in an MOD environment or existing SC clearance
