Job Summary
General Manager/Chief Executive of Columbia Premier Soccer Club (CPSC) provides executive leadership across strategy, operations, finance, and community engagement to advance the club’s mission in Southwest Washington. Responsible for strategic, financial, and operational performance, alignment between the Board of Directors, staff, and membership, governance, stakeholder relationships, budgeting, fundraising, staff supervision (including administrative staff and the Technical Director), facility management, field permits, vendor contracts, SafeSport compliance, and program delivery for recreational and competitive soccer. Drives recruitment and retention of player membership, oversees marketing and digital presence, and ensures fiscally responsible administration and adherence to bylaws and nonprofit regulations; collaborates with sponsors, leagues, schools, and community partners to implement a multi-year strategic plan and achieve organizational goals. Requires regular evening and weekend duties and a mix of office-based and community-facing work.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in sports management, non-profit administration, or a related leadership role
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- Experience working with a nonprofit board and the fundraising and volunteer support responsibilities associated with managing a charitable organization
- Strong understanding of the youth soccer landscape, including ECNL, GA, USYS, and US Club Soccer environments
- Demonstrated experience leading organizations through transition, with the ability to build alignment
- Exceptional conflict resolution skills—you must be highly experienced at navigating complex and competing positions with parents, staff, board, leagues, and local teams with grace
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with sports management and financial software (e.g., PlayMetrics, Quickbooks)
- Highly adaptable leader comfortable working in a fast-paced, community-facing environment
