Job Summary
Plan and instruct color guard rehearsals and performances, teaching fundamentals of dance, movement, equipment, and performance techniques. Choreograph and coordinate routines for marching band season and other events, including football games, parades, and contests. Collaborate with the Director of Bands and instructional staff to support the overall success of the band program while fostering a positive, disciplined, and student-centered learning environment. This role requires extensive experience as an instructor and performer, with the ability to work evenings and weekends during marching season.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in Color Guard activity as instructor and performer
- Ability to work evenings and weekends during marching season
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop student performers
Desired Qualifications
- Dance, or other Fine Arts Degree preferred
- Experience performing with or instructing a high school or collegiate color guard program preferred
