Job Summary
Coordinate and manage all color guard and winter guard activities, including planning, recruiting, instruction, budgeting, choreography and performance preparation; oversee equipment, safety, inventory, and communications with band staff, parents, and students; collaborate with head band director on budgets; recruit feeder schools; supervise practices and performances; ensure alignment with CCISD core values.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR/AED Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid Texas Educational Aide Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Detailed knowledge of the Texas Color Guard Circuit and UIL policies
- 5 years of Drum Corp International/Winter Guard International performance or teaching experience
- Three years of job-related experience preferred
- Dance teaching and education experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Student-centered and collaborative educator
- Ability to plan and administer color guard instructional program
- Experience in budgeting and coordinating with stakeholders
- Experience supervising rehearsals and performances
- Experience equipment maintenance and inventory management
- Familiarity with CCISD core values and district processes
- Ability to recruit and promote color guard participation from feeder schools
- Proficiency with technology applications (Skyward and others)
