Job Summary
Collision Estimator at Caliber Collision (Service Center Charlotte - South End) responsible for writing vehicle collision estimates, conducting process reviews, checking in customer vehicles, completing final customer paperwork prior to delivery (DRP, final invoice), finalizing total loss administration, and providing post-repair plan updates to customers while maintaining safety standards. The role requires experience in collision estimating, a valid driver’s license, a relevant license as an appraiser, knowledge of repair processes, proficiency with CCC1 or similar estimating software, and a sales orientation to communicate status and options to customers. The position emphasizes teamwork within Caliber’s broad automotive-services network, ongoing training, and a commitment to equal opportunity employment and compliance with E-Verify.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of collision estimating experience
- Sales experience preferred
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be eligible for coverage under our company insurance policy
- Must possess a Motor Vehicle Physical Damage Appraisers License
- Ability to do consistent physical activity (reach below/above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting, lifting objects over 50 lbs)
- Prior experience with CCC1 or similar estimating software
- Strong understanding of repair process/procedures
- Strong sales orientation
- Ability to understand instructions – written and verbal
- Ability to prioritize competing tasks and adapt to a fast-paced environment
