Job Summary
Auto Body Technician role focused on meticulous assessment and high-quality repair of vehicles to restore pre-accident condition. Responsibilities include planning repair work, preparing cost estimates, using tools (cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, pliers) to repair sections, dent repair with filler resins, realigning car chassis and frames, removing damaged sections and replacing with new or aftermarket parts, repairing/replacing glass and interior parts, welding and fitting parts, prepping and repainting vehicles, and ensuring work orders are completed within labor time guidelines while inspecting finished work. The position emphasizes teamwork, customer experience, KPI achievement, and acting as a Brand Ambassador for The Boyd Group. Education/experience requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent plus technical school completion or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair, with safety and physical-demands considerations noted.
