Job Summary
Auto Body Technician responsible for repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition through careful assessment, disassembly/reassembly, and high-quality workmanship. Performs dent repair, chassis realignment, replacement of damaged sections and parts, glass and interior repairs, welding, and painting to meet speed, quality, and customer-experience goals. Uses tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers; completes work orders within labor-time guidelines; collaborates with teammates to ensure KPIs and overall shop excellence.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer
- Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision
- Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies
- Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade
