Job Summary
Collision Center/Body Shop Manager needed to oversee daily operations of a dealership-affiliated collision center in Oneida, NY. Responsibilities include managing the repair workflow from estimate to final QC, scheduling work for technicians to optimize efficiency, ensuring OEM specifications and safety standards are met, inventory and vendor management to minimize delays, reviewing repair estimates and insurance supplements to maximize gross profit, tracking KPIs such as labor efficiency and cycle times, maintaining shop budget variance reports, recruiting and leading estimators, technicians, painters, and detailers, enforcing OSHA/EPA/DEC compliance, maintaining technician certifications (I-CAR, ASE, OEM), and nurturing positive relationships with DRPs and insurance adjusters while upholding high CSI. Qualifications emphasize 3–5 years in a body shop/manager role (dealership preferred), I-CAR Gold Class (preferred) and ASE certifications (a plus), proficiency with CCC ONE/Mitchell/Audatex and DMS systems (Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK), knowledge of NYS repair shop regulations, and a valid NYS driver’s license. Compensation ranges from $85,000 to $130,000 per year, with benefits including health/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO/paid holidays, employee discounts, and ongoing OEM/I-CAR training.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Body Shop Manager or Assistant Manager, preferably within a dealership environment
- I-CAR Gold Class tracking or Platinum recognition highly preferred; ASE certifications are a plus
- Proficiency with collision estimating software such as CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex
- Experience with Dealership Management Systems (DMS) like Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK
- Strong understanding of NYS DMV repair shop regulations and consumer rights laws
- Valid New York State Driver’s License with a clean driving record
