Job Summary
Collision Auto Body Technician responsible for the meticulous assessment and quality repair of vehicles to restore pre-accident condition. Performs disassembly, repairs, reassembly, realigns car chassis and frames, replaces or repairs damaged sections and parts (including glass and interior components), welds and paints to factory specifications or agreed-upon standards, and ensures work meets labor-time guidelines. Works with team members to meet KPIs and delivers a standout customer experience, using tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers; follows WOW plan and adheres to safety and quality practices.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical school program completion OR 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair
- Ability to read job orders
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Ability to work with other repairers in auto body shop
- Thorough understanding of repair methods and procedures for vehicle bodies
- Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel and squat to perform repairs and inspections
